JP Midgley
JP built a company, ran it for years, and grew it to eleven locations and 180 employees — organically and through acquisitions, partnerships, divestitures and acquihires — sitting in both the buyer’s seat and the seller’s along the way. Then he sold it, which meant first working out whether he actually wanted to, a decision that took considerably longer than the sale did. That period, before anything was certain, is the reason Tempest exists.
He leads client relationships and sell-side strategy: working out whether it’s time, what the business is genuinely worth, and what a deal needs to deliver beyond the headline number. He brings a strong grounding in strategy and data analysis to that work, and a style of leadership that starts with empathy.
